Having played sport from a young age, I always dreamt of being a professional sportsman. Due to injury like many other professionals in the industry this was not possible, but my desire to stay involved in the sporting environment lead me to the profession of Sports Therapy.
In 2008 I completed my qualification in Sports Therapy and straightaway was given the opportunity to get back into the rugby environment with Exeter Chiefs. This placement which originally started as two weeks, ended up being the most exciting and educational five years of my life. Having left Exeter I continue working in professional sports with Forest Green Rovers Academy and more recently the English Institute of Sport.
All this has lead me to Courtyard Clinic. Working with a multidisciplinary practice enables me to tailor and treat musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries. Being able to draw knowledge from other professionals within the clinic has allowed me to improve my understanding of acute and chronic injury management and adapt my treatment to optimise recovery. Using a variety of therapeutic modalities from dry needling, Manual Therapy, instrument aided soft tissue release (IASTR) and exercise prescription you will benefit from the latest evidence based treatment plans.
My treatments are aimed to speed recovery, restore function and to help you return to your normal daily activities at work, leisure or sport. So whether you’re an athlete, labourer, office worker, or active senior, you will get a tailored treatment plan.
